Sesame Street Live's "1-2-3 Imagine! with Elmo & Friends

The other day, Ryan and I were reminiscing with my parents about old TV shows and how "they don't make 'em like they used to." As a young child my favorite was Sesame Street. Here I am at 28 and it's still up and running and my kids are now watching it. Pretty incredible.

Our family has been given a lovely opportunity to attend “1-2-3 Imagine! with Elmo & Friends” live near Chicago. The kids are gonna flip!

Do you live in or near Chicago? If so, I have 4 extra tickets to give away. You too can sing and dance with Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Big Bird and all of your favorite Sesame Street Live friends.

All you have to do to enter is leave a comment telling me your favorite Sesame Street character.

Girl in the Middle

The children are with a friend for a couple of hours. At times when they're with me, a voice seems to be bouncing around inside of my head screaming for just a little quiet.

But now I miss them.

I'm trying to get a few things done, but the other child...the one safely floating inside of me makes me want to curl up for a nap.

By the way, we found out that the other one is a boy.

15 Week Belly

Sylas asked me the other day if Ivy had a g-mongous belly like mine.

How is it that I can go from medium to g-mongous just like that?

Ivy boosted my spirits when she told me I looked beautiful in this dress.

She also mentioned that the tyrannosaurus rex on her puzzle was beautiful.

A Name Change

You all would not believe the progress that Sylas is making with his walking. He consistently takes 8-10 steps for us at home and 15-25 for his therapist! Today Ryan took the kids to the library while I did some cleaning for a friend and Sylas walked 15 FEET without falling.

Ummm...wow.

On Wednesday we'll take Sylas to Children's Hospital to have more botox injections and this time he'll also be getting phenol in his adductors and hamstrings. We are hoping this will loosen him up enough to get him to even more independent walking.

He'll need to be under general anesthetic for this, so if you are a pray-er....please pray.

Last week, Sylas had his first visit with an orthopedic surgeon. Eventually, as he grows, he'll probably need some minor surgeries to release his hamstrings or lengthen his heel chords, but for now we'll just keep on plugging along as we have been.

When the surgeon walked into the exam room, this is the conversation that ensued...

Doc: Hello, I'm Dr. ....
Me: Brianna Morrison, it's nice to meet you.
Doc: You must be Sylas.
Sy: Yes, I'm Sylas Morrison
Doc: Well, hello Sylas Morrison. What's your middle name?
Sy: Cutie Cutie.

And there you have it.
