Happy Birthday Sylas

He's 4!!!!

We celebrated. Big time.

He loves being 4.

But I feel a bit weepy.

Is that normal?

"Turn around and you're two,
Turn around, and you're four...."

That's part of an old song I sang as a lullaby to my daughter, and it still chokes me up. Couldn't believe how quickly she actually was four - and now she's twenty-four!!

Happy birthday Sylas!! I just love the joy that radiates out of every picture of that boy!

Also thinking about the amazing birthday celebrations going on up in Heaven for your beautiful 5 there. :)

Its still weird to think that we were due around the same time yet Sy is 4 already! Are you planning to start him in kindergarden next year? We will probably have to make Layla wait until she's almost 6 since her birthday is too late.

Happy 4th birthday Sylas (and your 5 lovely siblings in heaven)

Happy 4th Birthday Sylas! I will always remember his birthday, since it is so close to the girls' birthday! I hope he had a great day!

No it's entirely normal to feel like that. All Mum's are delighted their children are growing and thriving, but it all happens too quickly. It's sad leaving that baby behind. Mum's are a bundle of contradictions. I hope Sylas had a wonderful day with his sister and I'm sure his five brothers and sisters in heaven will have been smiling down on them and enjoying, what is after all, their day too.

Oh my goodness - that boy is too cute! Give him a belated birthday hug from all the Mezyks. And it's so normal to be weepy - I cried at Avery's kindergarten graduation the other day, and for goodness sake, it's just kindergarten!!
