Chocolate Craving Satisfied

Remember yesterday?

We only had peanut butter M&M's in the house and that wasn't doing it for me.

I wanted cake. I am so pregnant.

Thankfully we did have these.

So I made this.

Not exactly decadent, but chocolate-y enough to satisfy.

Chocolate Cake in a Mug

2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. of good cocoa powder (or sipping chocolate from TJ's if that's all you have)
1/2 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. oil
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. chocolate chips

Stir all ingredients in a small mixing bowl, then pour into a mug. Batter will double in size so be sure the mug is big enough.

Heat in the microwave for 45-60 seconds. [50 was perfect for mine]

Top with ice cream, or whipped cream or whatever your heart desires. I've been a raspberry fiend this pregnancy, and it was perfection.

Yum! That looks fantastic, and I am not even pregnant right now. I love reading your blog. I check on here daily just to see if you have a new post. You have such a beautiful way of writing and your words are very inspiring. I am a mom who lost 2 babies. I have not lost 5, so I can not completely relate, but each of our losses hurt deeply and were very hard to deal with. We prayed for you a lot when you had the sextuplets and have been following your story since. The second baby I lost was a girl and we named her Lucia after your beautiful angel. I pray that you have a safe and easy pregnancy with your latest precious miracle. I can't wait to hear what you name him. I just wanted to thank you for your blog. Your beautiful family has been a joy to read. Thanks for sharing with us.

This sounded so good when I read it earlier. I turned my compuet back on and pulled this page up again and made the cake just now! I couldn't stop thinking about it! :) Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Oh my gosh, the raspberries. I buy the big boxes at Costco 4-6 at a time because I eat a whole box every day. Plus blueberries. I never had a sweet tooth before being pregnant so this is good to know! :) (23 weeks)
