A Bit Awkward (a Giveaway)

Do you remember my obsession with these earrings?

It hasn't lessened, and I'm dying to give away another pair of these delightful buds. Just leave a comment telling me some obscure fact about yourself, and you could win a pair of pink rosebuds.

I'll go first.

I have a hard time pointing my toes.

When I took gymnastics as a young girl, I was always getting scolded, because every time I was supposed to point my toes, BOTH big toes would stick straight up in the air. Awkward.

Ok, I'm so glad you know that about me. Now we're really friends.

{All this week I'm giving away a few of my favorite things. Be sure to enter my other giveaways here. I'll pick and announce the winners on New Years day}.

UPDATE:

If you don't win, and you need these earrings, you can find similar ones here.

THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED.

I really really enjoy sneezing! Most people think it's awful, but I think it's great!

Well, not that interesting really, but weird. Dr. Pepper is my alltime favorite soft drink, with Coke coming in 2nd. I really like Coke out of the can, but I can't stand Dr. Pepper that way. It has to be on ice or I won't drink it.

By the way, ever since your first post, I have been looking and looking for a pair of earrings like yours, with no luck. Any idea if I can order them online somewhere? I love keeping up with your blog!

I love these earrings!!!

Obscure fact: my great-great-great-great-great (etc.) grandfather was king of Hungary in the 14th century. He even has his own Wikipedia page! ;)

Well I too have a odd thing with my toes, I'm very much able to point them (thanks to 9 years of dance) but I can also spread them out just like you can spread apart your fingers(it creeps my husband out everytime:)

I can touch my tongue to my nose. It really freaks some people out. I consider it a very fun but useless talent.

I am an ice snob. I can tell you what type of ice a drink is served over by the taste. Sounds weird but it's true!

well, here's something only my best friend knows, i love to eat chocolate, way too much of it, and then drink diet coke -- because i believe diet coke erases all the calories. ha! My best friend says that she loves me for that and that's why we're friends. Happy new year!!... and oh the pink rosebuds, too happy. I don't have any earrings!! gasp. i love them but recently all mine were destroyed. too long of a story. but i would treasure the rosebuds. :)

When I took gymnastics, the ONLY thing I could do was fall on my face and split my lip open. Which, apparently, is not what you're supposed to do.

The pink buds are beautiful!

Fact: I have a "manufactured" bellybutton! I had some emergency surgery and since my doc couldn't ask me IF I wanted a belly button after I lost mine due to the inscision, he MADE one for me. It's not quite in the center and up about 1" from my original! Also I have no feeling there. Wierd!

When I am really hungry, I sneeze like crazy! So weird!!

I love those earings.

I have the most common form of a condition called Synesthesia, I see colours when I think of numbers, letters and words. The colours are always the same for each letter or number. For years I thought everyone did.

I once ate cereal for dinner almost every single night for a year. The first year I lived on my own (I do cook now!)

I would love these earrings for my sister's birthday. My ear holes have long closed up!

I'm afraid of windmills. Which isn't great considering there are a bazillion wind farms in our area. I've been referred to as "Don Quixote" more than once.

I am terrified of worms...any kind. Inch worms, caterpillars, nightcrawlers, you name it, they terrify me. In fact, if one gets on or near me, I go into panic mode. Silly but true.

Love the earrings. :)

I have so many obscure facts to share...I'll stick with the weirdest for now and possibly share more at Cupcake (can't wait to meet you)

I only grow hair in one arm pit.

Yup. Seriously. Gross. Weird. Odd. No clue why. But showers are a little quicker for me since there's less shaving involved. Ha...

Can't believe I just shared that...I must really like the earrings.

You are too funny...and I love it! Hmmmm...something obsure....I don't like hearing my name whispered. Freaks me out - no idea why!!!

I didn't participate the first time you did a giveaway with these earrings because I have worn the same pair for the last 7 years... but 2 weeks ago I lost on of them, and now I don't wear any... So - maybe I'll win these :)

Hmmmm... A fact about me. I can roll my tongue three times! :)

Hi Brianna -
what a fun way to get people to open up about some interesting habits/talents/abilities.
obscurities of Naomi:
i like oranges, but not orange juice...i like peanutbutter, but only with chocolate but no amount of chocolatey goodness can compensate for nuts in the brownies.

I can write cursive backwards, my little pinky bends across my other three fingers, my thumb can do the same, I can crack my wrists repeatedly, any time I have an emotion my face turns red which makes me feel worse so that makes my face turns worse!! I laugh funny. Alright, that's enough. Head to toe I'm a bit Awkward.

I don't think I'm unique in the fact that I don't like hearing my own voice, especially on recordings that I've left someone (i.e. voicemails or cassettes from long ago)

p.s. I'm sure your toes don't mind at all. LOL

I fell instantly in love with those earrings! What a fun and interesting giveaway!

I never sneeze just once, always in a series of 10 or 12. I love peanut butter on everything, and I am particular which side of people I walk on... sometimes it's the right side, sometimes it's the left... it depends how my aura feels.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Well at least this is an entertaing post and I enjoyed reading the comments.

In keeping with the toe theme, most of toes on my feet are longer than my big toe. Same with my dad and my daughter - unfortunately it was one thing didn't miss on her ultrasound

I have a HUGE obsession with clear-see through-plastic bins and LABELS! All of my bins have a word label on 3 sides and a picture of what is inside on the 4th (Joshua at 14months would look at the picture, look at his toys and put them in the right bin!!) I love to be organized but my life doesn't always allow it-though I try oh so very hard!!!
