I love this video. Mu husband found a frog when our oldest was 2ish and they were looking at it and then the frog desided to JUMP and yes it landed in her hiar she just screamed. Also her hair was long at the time so it got stuck in her hair. She is not tramatised from it now they look the frogs all the time.. Thanks for sharing..
That's awesome! I always think its good to let kids play with frogs and toads so they won't be afraid of them later. You should have seen me with my pet toads as a kid :)
I have gotten a couple of Anonymous comments stating concern over the way Sylas was treating the frog. First of all, thank you for you concern and I assure you that we do teach Sylas to respect people, animals and property. At the same time, he is 2 years old and we want him to be able to explore his surroundings in an appropriate way.
Secondly, I desire that the comments section be an open dialogue and I welcome differing opinions, but would ask that you state your name in the spirit of friendly conversation.

By the way, our friend, mister frog, may have been a little annoyed by these toddler antics, but was in no way harmed.
WAY TOO FUNNY .... LOL!!! But I felt bad when you told him 'no..no....no' when he was going to eat it and Sylas got sad:( Liam does the same thing when we 'panic' say no to him also:) They are so sensitive! We still need to get together .... soon:)
Thankyou for explaining that the frog was not harmed. I too was upset by the way people were laughing when Sylas, in his innocence, madhandled the helpless little creature. It must have been terrified, but Sylas wouldn't know that and would think it was alright if all he heard was laughter when he did it. My children were always told to be very gentle with living things. I am so glad that you are teaching Sylas all about God's beautiful creatures, and to respect all of His wonderful creation and that, most importantly, His living creatures are not childrens' playthings.
I think this was an adorable video. I think Sylas may have gotten a little rough with it, and maybe someone should have stopped him sooner, but I can tell that the little froggy wasn't hurt. I do feel bad Mr. Frog fell to the ground there at the end, but I am sure he went hopping on his way afterwards unharmed.
I can understand why some folks might have gotten upset, but I think people should lighten up. Mr. Frog wasn't hurt, and I am sure Sylas is being taught to respect all God's creatures. Thanks for sharing this little bit of cuteness and humor!
And by the way, I am an avid frog fan - always have been, always will be. My first baby's nursery will be frog decor! :-)
Sylas Christopher was born on June 10, 2007, at 22 weeks and 6 days gestation. At birth he weighed 15 oz. and was 10 1/2 inches long. Sylas was the fifth born of sextuplets. His brothers and sisters, Lucia, Bennet, Tryg, Lincoln and Cadence all lived beautiful lives and then went on to be with Jesus. We miss you sweet babies.
The Sis
Ivy Pearl is Sy's little sis and she has brought much healing to our wounded hearts. Ivy was born on January 5, 2009, at 35 weeks and 5 days gestation. At birth she weighed a whopping 5 pounds, 12 oz. and was 19 1/4 inches long. We are so blessed.

Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Tina,
I felt bad too. I wanted to take it back and give him a gentler "no". Now I think he may be afraid of frogs. Hopefully not!

Down here, that's a tomato, a cup of rice, and a clove of garlic away from being lunch. Sylas had the right idea.
