A Pacifier Please

I slept a total of 4 hours last night. 2 of those were consecutive.

Ivy went to bed at 10:30 p.m., was up at 8:30 a.m., and woke 5 times in between.

Sylas slept for 13 hours. Straight. And still woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

35 minutes ago, I laid both kids down for their morning nap.

Ivy just woke up.

Sylas has yet to fall asleep.

What's wrong with these children? If someone put a pacifier in my mouth, I'd go back to bed.

  1. Just one of those days, huh? We have those here too, you aren't alone.

  2. Ugh! That is rough.
I hope you can get a little catch up snooze now this afternoon....

  3. uh, so sorry you had a rough evening. Must have been in the air, mine didn't fall asleep until 1:30 a.m. and then back up at 5.

  4. Thats rough. Layla used to wake up at least 5x per night until she was about 6 mos. After that she still had some really hellish nights where she would wake up 10 or more times screaming for no apparent reason.
I've been there, but sometimes there just aren't really any answers to why that happens.
I know how hard it is to be patient when you're so exhausted.

  5. wow... you need some sleep sis..

  6. Brianna ..... I am feeling your pain! Liam has been up about every hour - YIKES! And hasn't taken a nap longer than 30 minutes ALL day! This night-time parenting thing is EXHAUSTING!!!

  7. Is she teething? I would be going crazy in the same situation with my son for several nights in a row, and then - pop! - there was a brand new tooth!

  8. Hi Anonymous. She could be teething, though she just got her first two teeth last week without any fussing at all. Who knows? Last night was a bit better, so I'm hoping a couple nights ago was the worst of it!

  9. They must have been missing their daddy!

  10. Hey Bri, it's Jen. I'm sure you're probably aware, but just in case:

I know you could be a great source of encouragement.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share. I love hearing from you.

P.S. I'm sorry for the word verification step, but oh, my. I'm getting lots of spam.
