Oh what a great video!! Happy Birthday! I also am a micro preemie and I also have come so far!!! I still have my challenges but God has a plan. I also lost my siblings. The only difference is the kind of medical things they can do today vs. 1974! Happy Birthday.
What a tremendous blessing. I have prayed more times for him in the past year than I can count (and his precious siblings too) I can only imagine the bittersweetenss of this day for you. It still just blows my mind to see what God has done with Sylas. Its so weird to think that he is already 2 when he was supposed to be born around the same time as Layla, who won't be 2 until October 14 (my due date was the 20th). Happy Birthday little man!

I just happened to stumble across your blog today! Happy Birthday little Sylas! I remember your family's story...and remember thinking how brave you all were/are! We just lost a daughter in February at 21 weeks, but stories like yours teach us to keep faith and turn to God with all of our sorrows. I'm so glad for the blessings He has worked in your life.
Sylas Christopher was born on June 10, 2007, at 22 weeks and 6 days gestation. At birth he weighed 15 oz. and was 10 1/2 inches long. Sylas was the fifth born of sextuplets. His brothers and sisters, Lucia, Bennet, Tryg, Lincoln and Cadence all lived beautiful lives and then went on to be with Jesus. We miss you sweet babies.
Ivy Pearl is Sy's little sis and she has brought much healing to our wounded hearts. Ivy was born on January 5, 2009, at 35 weeks and 5 days gestation. At birth she weighed a whopping 5 pounds, 12 oz. and was 19 1/4 inches long. We are so blessed.
