New Wheels

This morning, Sy's Physical Therapist brought out a walker for him to test drive. I admit I was a little skeptical. Sylas doesn't really like trying to walk holding on to our hands and he really doesn't like walking behind push toys. He's also very interested in the mechanics of things and I was sure that the wheels of the walker would be more fascinating than actually walking.

I was wrong.

Our little Bug was intrigued from the moment he laid eyes on his new wheels. Before he even knew what the walker was, he started calling it a "tractor." Since moving to Wisconsin, Sylas has a new found love of tractors, so of course he wanted to try out his new tractor. In no time, he was cruising around the wood floors like he's been doing it his whole life.

As hard as I try, I don't think I can put into words the joy that has filled my heart today. To see my son, who once weighed a mere 15 ounces, walk, is breathtaking.

I am in awe of what God has done.

It really is amazing to see him in action. God really is amazing. Its so cute that Sylas calls it a tractor. Its probably good that you have hardwood floor now so that he can really cruise.

Go Sylas go!! Watching the video clip brought tears to my eyes. I've been 'following' your family and praying for you guys since Sylas and his brothers and sisters were born. To see in such a tangible way what God is doing in Sylas' life is amazing! God is good!
And I want to thank you Brianna for being so open on your blog about your ups and downs, and what God is doing in you. Your life is a testimony of God's faithfulness. I may never meet you and your family personally on this earth, but I'm thankful God has allowed me to 'meet' you through your blog. God bless you.
Love a sister in Christ,

How wonderful! It's like he was just waiting for the right help and now he has it. I am so happy for you all :-) Words just can't describe.

And I loved hearing your Dad's voice and seeing him briefly on the video too. Your family (from Grandpa on down) feels like my family, our families have been together our whole lives. I can't wait to move back to Wisconsin and attend LCC more often!

His accomplishments are amazing. If you're interested in a super cute walker that looks king of red wagonish, check out southpaw enterprises Web site and search for "red walker." Same kind of postural walker as the one you're currently using. So cute!

OMIGOSH! Have been following your story since your first pregnancy and spent months wondering if Sylas ever made it home from the hospital. Am just overwhelmed by the miracle that is Sylas. Worked at Shriners Hospital for years, saw lots of miracles, but nothing as great as The Sy Guy! He's so lucky to have you for parents!! Yea, God!!
Thanks for the awesome video!
