On the Move

Can you guess why our Little Man is so excited?

That's right! We're moving to Wisconsin!!!

Ryan was offered a job as the children's pastor at my parent's church, so we're moving in THREE WEEKS!!! We are thrilled to be a part of this wonderful staff and I'm especially delighted to be so close to my family. On the other hand, we're sad to be leaving all of our friends and family in Minnesota. We've been through so much during the past couple of years and the support we've received from those around us has been phenomenal. We love you all and we'll miss you greatly. If you could all start a blog so I could keep up with your everyday lives, I would really appreciate it.
Everything for the move seems to be falling into place. We sold our van (which we've been wanting to do for months) and our apartment was just subleased yesterday, but still I find myself getting overwhelmed. It could be because I just had Ivy one month ago, and my hormones are still going crazy! Right now, a successful day for me is making sure everyone is bathed, so I have no idea how we're going to have everything ready to go, but I'm confident that the Lord will give us grace for each day.

  1. Congratulations! That's very exciting news!! I sure hope everything continues to fall into place for a smooth and uneventful move. If you need advice on Birth to Three, Early Childhood, doctors at Children's Hospital, anything, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me. We have been so happy with all of Ryan's care.

  2. That is wonderful news! I am sad, please keep up the blog. I love getting the updates. Even though we don't know each other at all, I feel like I know you more than other people in my life. I have really enjoyed how honest you are with everything that has happen. And I know in my heart, you are at peace with a lot of it as well.

I started a blog for the girls. Here is the web site:

So, you can keep up with the Gruber Girls! And I will keep up with you.
    Blessings!

PS: I grew up in Madison...so I am a HUGE fan of the Packers & Badgers! I am sure it will be wonderful to be back home :)

  3. I had a feeling you might be moving! I am a born and bred Wisconsinite myself! (well, I was actually born in South Carolina as a military baby, but my parents are from WI and we moved back when I was 2). What part of the state will you be moving to? I am very familiar with many areas, but I am actually from 20 mins west of Madison, and my husband's family is from Madison (he graduated from Madison West). Well, I'm so glad to hear that you'll be back!! I wish someday we could move back too, to be near our family again, but for now, God has us in Iowa, and I'm finally content with that! Best wishes!

  5. Congratulations!!! I know that your family will be so glad to have you back home and, even though I haven't met Ryan yet, I am positive that LCC will be a better place with him on staff :-)

We are trying to move back to Wisconsin ourselves (I have an interview in three weeks) so I know what a blessing and a difficulty the process can be. Good luck with everything and when you get there, give Grandma Hoffman a great big hug from Tera and her family :-)

  7. Congratulations! You'll back in my old area (sort of), although I've been in the Twin Cities for a long time now.

Wow, that happened so fast. Ivy is beautiful!
