Our little Ivy picked a very snowy day to come home. I'm not sure how many inches fell, but whatever the number, it made for a very slow commute home, which made for a very late daddy, which made us very late to pick up Ivy. We finally arrived at about 7 p.m. and Ivy was already saying her goodbyes to the nurses.
Sylas was waiting in the hallway to meet his sister for the first time. He was getting rather restless, as Ivy had already perfected the Minnesota goodbye and she was taking longer than he expected.

Mommy finally brought baby sister out of the nursery.

Sylas took a good look, and....

she's perfection!

The four of us braved the frozen tundra and made it home safe and sound just in time for a little snack.
Ahhh...home sweet home.

I'm not sure if you remember me, but Sylas and my daughter Maryn had appointments at the same time at Childrens and I introduced myself as a friend of Kate Bolands.
You have a precious family! God is good!
Love those pictures! It makes me miss those days when mine were little like that, especially Emma since we missed so much of that time when she was in the hospital.
We are praying that the transition goes smoothly.
Take care,
Jodi

What lovely news. Having lost twins born at 23 weeks in 2004, I followed the story of your children up until Sylas came home, then couldn't find any new info. for awhile. What a surprise to do a search today after such a long time and to find so many happy developments for your family. Welcome home Ivy--so happy about your safe arrival.
