Our life is crazy! Sylas has an MRI tomorrow morning and since he'll be sedated, a pre-op appointment with the pediatrician today. My husband Ryan, who works for a non-profit, is getting ready for their annual gala/fundraiser that takes place on Friday and on top of all that, we're moving this week! For the past year, we've been renting a townhouse from some friends. They just recently sold it, so we'll be moving to an apartment in a lovely little town west of Minneapolis. It's a much smaller place, but we're excited to simplify our lives. We have been getting rid of so much stuff. Ryan has already taken 3 car loads to Goodwill and there's still more to go.

In other news, Sylas' physical therapy evaluation went well. He'll be getting therapy once a week, which is exactly what we wanted. The MRI that's scheduled for tomorrow was ordered by the pediatric neurologist we saw a couple of weeks ago. Thankfully it's first thing in the morning, since Sylas can't eat for 6 hours beforehand. YIKES!!! He's going to be a little bear.

For those of you who are wondering how my pregnancy is going, I'm feeling great! I'm 21 weeks and 6 days today, exactly one week before I delivered in the last pregnancy. I'm still being checked by the doctor every 2-3 weeks, and at my last appointment, they said there is no way I'm going to deliver anytime soon. I'm praying they are right and that our baby girl will continue to grow safely inside of me for many weeks to come.

It may be awhile before you hear from me again, since we'll have to get the Internet set up in our new place. Hope you're all healthy and happy and enjoying the beautiful autumn weather.

  1. Hi Morrisons!

We will be praying that everything will go smoothly for Sylas and the MRI tomorrow and that he will be peaceful even though he can't eat.

So glad to hear that all is well with your pregnancy. I am sure it is a huge weight off your shoulders.

Good Luck with the move, we will pray that the weather holds up and there is no rain!

  2. I will pray that the MRI goes well tomorrow.
So happy to hear your pregnancy is going well and you are feeling good.

Good Luck with the move. I know it can be a lot of work with a little one, but so exciting too.

  3. Hi Brianna,
I check your blog once in awhile - after having connected with it on Noemi's site and after having heard your story last year on WCCO. Anyway, your son is so amazingly cute and beautiful. You're life sounds just as crazy as mine right now, except I don't have any children yet, just a disorganized husband:) We're moving too and looking forward to it, although I'm not enjoying living with boxes all around right now. Anyway, I am a Christian too and although I have never met you in person, I know we are connected through the Spirit. I pray blessings, joy, and endurance upon you as you keep up with the busy-ness of life and grow a new little girl inside you. Take care!

The above link is to my grandaughter's aunts blog. Trish & Aaron Asbra have been through some of the same health issues with their boys as your "Little Man". She would be a great one to talk to because they have been there and are always willing to help others.

Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your blog and following Sylas's progress.

    You are in my prayers,

  5. Hi Brianna,

Yesterday my sister (Jodi) sent me a link to your blog and I was grateful to get a chance to see how things are going for you and yours. I am very happy to see how Sylas is growing! And congratulations on the pregnancy! God is so good.

(In case the name isn't familiar, I know you from growing up at Lighthouse :-)

  6. Hi you!:-)
Send me your new address eh so that I can keep sending you snail mail (from time to distant time!). One of my favourite things about moving is the simplifying process. I love getting rid of things I don't need and have crazy dreams about being able to live out of a VW van (with my three kids???!). But it's stressful to move to with babies and being pregnant... I'll keep you in my prayers--and I'm glad that Sylas' MRI went well. Love you!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share. I love hearing from you.

P.S. I'm sorry for the word verification step, but oh, my. I'm getting lots of spam.
