A Day of Firsts

Sylas got a new highchair! We were so happy to find one that supports him well enough that he doesn't topple over. Yesterday was the first day we tried it out, and he must like it, because it was a GREAT eating day! He added a new "dish" to his diet. He's loving the Gerber Lil' Crunchies. I think he ate 1/3 of the can yesterday. Ryan also managed to get him to eat baby food pears with no protesting.

Another first for yesterday - Sylas pulled himself into a standing postition!!! HOORAY!

  1. The pictures are so great! I especially love his expressions in the 1st and 4th one (he definitely looked like he was making a statement on the last one). Hooray for a functional high chair and....what!? He pulled himself up to stand!? What a big boy! I'm so proud of you, little man!

  2. Love the pictures! (Especially the last one!)

When you are a mom to a micropreemie, it is amazing all of the "little" things that matter. Quite possibly we are able to truly enjoy every moment of our children's a way, that is truly a blessing.

    Take care!

  3. Go Sylas Go! What a great day!!! He is such a cutie!

  4. It sounds like Sylas is making some awesome progress!! Praise God!!

Could you let me know what kind of high chair you got for Sylas?
It may be something we could look into for Emma soon.

From your last post, I can feel your pain. Emma has improved much from even 2 months ago, but I don't know what the future holds for her. The reflux she had seems to do pretty much gone(or not enough to bother her, but I know that it can return also).

But we just take one day at a time and thank God everyday that she has come so far!

You all are an inspiration to us!

  5. I'm proud to have witnessed both of these milestones first hand! I'm so proud of you Sylas! Keep going buddy!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share. I love hearing from you.

P.S. I'm sorry for the word verification step, but oh, my. I'm getting lots of spam.
